Most of the Sex And The City ladies – Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kristin Davis – showed up at the ShoWest awards in Las Vegas on Thursday to accept the Ensemble Award. Missing in action? SATC’s Sam, Kim Cattrall, who had another engagement.

In a Sex And The City expose, show creator, Michael Patrick King has revealed that he banned Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda Hobbs in the series, from eating during shooting because her loud grazing drowns out the dialogue of her cast members.

“There’s only one thing I avoided having Cynthia do on all the years of Sex and the City, and that was to eat on camera,” Michael quipped. “I discovered early in the first season, when I wrote that Miranda eats in a coffee shop, Cynthia would eat in the coffee shop. I mean, chew and bite with gusto. There were times you couldn’t even hear the other girls’ lines. Seriously, all the girls would get to pick what they wanted in the coffee shop scenes, and Kristin and SJ would pick salads, and Kim would pick blueberries, and Cynthia, I’d look over, would be eating a cheeseburger. Like, eight cheeseburgers! And every time a new one arrived, she was even more delighted than the last.”

KIim Cattrall’s love interest in the SATC sequel, Max Ryan has been hospitalized with broken ribs & cracked collarbone after a motorcycle crash this week.

Wille Garson finalized the adoption of his 8-year-old son, Nathan, this week. Garson, known best as Carrie’s bestie Stanford Blatch in the television and movie series Sex And The City, began the adoption process a year ago through The Alliance for Children’s Rights and Westside Children’s Center. The paperwork was finalized on Wednesday.

“From the first time I met him, I said, ‘That’s my kid,’” Garson tells PEOPLE.
Garson — who currently stars on USA’s White Collar — appears alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon in Sex and the City 2, due in theaters May 28.

Another big screen follow-up to HBO’s groundbreaking television comedy Sex and the City is set for release in May — and Hollywood tattles tell The Sun that Carrie & Co (best known as Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall) are already busy filming the third and last movie in the SATC series.
“There is also a third movie on the go. It’s under wraps for publicity reasons,” the source said. “It makes sense to film the second and third movies back to back. The characters will look a lot younger on screen when the third movie is out in a couple of years. They’re keen to look as young as possible because that movie will be their last. They want to go out on a high.”
