Hollywood ageism strikes again: British glamour model Katie Price, also known as Jordan, has failed to land her “dream” role in the new Sex And The City sequel after producers deemed her “too old” for the part.

The British glamour model, also known as Jordan, is currently taking acting classes and had her first screen test for Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sex And The City 2 in Hollywood last week.
“I recently went to LA where I was doing my acting lessons for ‘Sex and the City Part 2′. They want a big-breasted English glamour girl and I have had the audition,” says the aspiring actress, who is also being courted to star in a British remake of the 1990s small screen hit Baywatch.
Katie is currently involved in a bitter divorce battle with her singer husband Peter Andre.
Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon announced her engagement to girlfriend Christine Marinoni at a rally for gay marriage over the weekend.
On Sunday, the actress told the crowd at the Love, Peace and Marriage Equality Rally in New York City that she became engaged last month, according to Access Hollywood.
Carrie and The Girls are sexing up the summer.
Sex And The City 2, the second motion picture based on the smash HBO series of the same name, will trot into theaters just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, opening May 28, 2010, Exhibitor Relations announced on Wednesday.
The first Sex And The City film, which debuted to packed theaters last May, set a new precedent for the so-called “chick flick” after it grossed $415 million worldwide.
The sequel to last year’s wildly-successful Sex and the City Movie– currently in pre-production–will be filmed in London.
We hear several scenes featuring Carrie Bradshaw and the crew will be shot in the UK later this year.
