The Oscar winner has been regulalry criticized for his support of the anti-U.S. revolutionary, his president brother Raul, and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

Now, the Mystic River actor is rumored to have jetted to the Caribbean to discuss how US President Barack Obama’s administration has affected Cuba for an upcoming piece for VF.
Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn has turned to a familiar support system now that his actress wife Robin Wright-Penn has kicked him to the curb for the final time — ex-wife Madonna!
The volatile pair, who were married from 1985-1989, reconnected after having cocktails at New York’s Greenwich Hotel last November and have remained on good terms ever since.

Madonna, who divorced hubby Guy Ritchie earlier this year, has been helping Sean, 49, through the latest in series of fallouts with Robin, In Touch Weekly claims on the pages of its Sept. 14 issue. And although she’s currently dating 22-year-old Brazilian model Jesus Luz, sources say a reunion could be on the horizon for the Hollywood exes who famously co-starred in the 1986 stinker Shanghai Surprise.
“Madonna still considers Sean her soulmate,” her friend tells In Touch. “It’s highly possible that she and Sean will somehow get back together now that they’ll both be divorced.”

Sean and Robin are kaput —- for the third time this year.
Forrest Gump star Robin Wright Penn has filed for divorce from her Oscar-winning husband, actor Sean Penn, in papers filed in Los Angeles last Wed., Aug. 12, The Insider has learned.

Sean, who turned 49 on Monday, withdrew his application for a legal separation from long-suffering wife Robin Wright Penn in June, calling the filing an “arrogant mistake.” He even withdrew from the proposed Three Stooges film to spend more time with his family. The couple began dating in 1989 and married in 1996. They have two children together.

Natalie Portman has broken her long held rule of not responding to Internet gossip to blast rampant rumors that she is having an affair with the very married — albeit separated — Sean Penn.
“Sean Penn is a friend and colleague. The reports that we are romantically involved are completely untrue,” the star of The Other Boleyn Girl said in a statment to Extra Friday. “I normally do not respond to rumors about my private life, however, this repeatedly fabricated story has forced me to do so.”

Bill O’Reilly has seen Fast Times at Ridgemont High for the last time.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Emmy-winning conservative pundit reveals that he is boycotting Penn and his catalogue of films because he disagrees with the Oscar-winning actor’s political views.
Over the years, Sean Penn has enraged many with his politics by visiting Iran and Venezuela, as welll as for his frequent criticism of the Iraq War and former president George W. Bush. O’Reilly is the first politico chatterbox so disillusioned with Penn that he has vowed not to watch any of his films.
THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER: ARE THERE ACTORS WHOSE POLITICAL OPINIONS DISTURB YOU SO MUCH YOU WON’T SEE THEIR MOVIES?
O’Reilly: Just Sean Penn
THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER: SOMEONE WILL READ THAT AND ACCUSE YOU OF ENCOURAGING A NEW BLACKLIST ERA.
O’Reilly: Not at all. He’s a great actor, and if you hire him, you’ll get a good performance. I’m just not going to give a guy who gives aid and comfort to people like (Iran president Mahmoud) Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez and Saddam Hussein, when he was alive, my 10 bucks. That’s my right as an American.
Is there a celebrity you boycott because of their beliefs?
