So much for civility…

The divorce between one-time It Couple Heidi Klum and Seal has taken a nasty turn. According to a new Star magazine report, the high-profile exes are battling it out over custody of their four children and multi-million-dollar assets — this despite vowing to keep their split “amicable” when they announced plans to end their seven year marriage in January.

And to make matters even more awkward, Seal insists his estranged bride cheated on him with her longtime bodyguard, Martin Kristen.

Heidi Klum and Seal announced their separation in February and for the first time since the split of their six year union, Heidi’s opened up to Elle Magazine.  Seal may have engaged in a number of interviews regarding the end of their marriage, but Heidi’s candor and grace seem to outweigh all that he has offered.  Reading is believing.  See for yourself:

In the interview, Heidi stated:  ”I feel like I’m in the eye of the tornado.  It’s emotions inside of your body that are a tornado.  And then the outside world doing all this craziness – with you wanting it or not wanting it – is another tornado.  But as hard as it is, so is life.  And sometimes I think a curveball just comes at you…Instead of something straight that you catch, it hits you in the head from the side you didn’t expect.”   Heidi went on to say that Seal was free to say whatever he wanted but she knows where she stands.  She furthered: “I’m a lioness.  I have four cubs.  I’m a mom.  I want to take care of my kids and protect them.  I don’t want to talk about them, or him, or me.”

Seal opened up about his separation from Project Runway star, Heidi Klum, at a taping of Ellen yesterday in LA. The Kiss from a Rose singer is clearly still processing the decision by the couple to split.

Seal told Ellen, “I think we were shocked. You go into these things with the greatest intentions when you say ‘I do’ and you say ’til death do us part.’ Those vows hold value.
