Roberto Cavalli has launched a new clothing line, Roberto Cavalli Pets. The Italian designer is set to expand his fashion empire with a collection of pooch couture, which will include satin-trimmed doggy bathrobes, printed silk shorts, shearling jackets, and velour tracksuits designed for small and medium-size dogs.

“Roberto and I have always loved animals; we have so many of them around the house,” wife Eva Cavalli said in a recent interview with W Magazine. “It came as a natural conclusion, therefore, to bring a bit of our style to the canine universe.”

Eva says she and her hubby love animals and wanted to bring their signature sense style to the canine world.

“Who doesn’t love dogs? They’re reliable, faithful and caring. I could not imagine my house without them or our other animals. They’re true members of the family.”

Accessories include quilted dog carriers and patent-leather collars and leashes. The Robert Cavalli Pets Line is priced from $110 for a t-shirt to $1,200 for a patent-leather quilted carrier.

Style icon Roberto Cavalli has created a new bottle design for Diet Coke. The legendary designer has reworked the traditional Diet Coke can with three versions of his trademark animal prints for a special limited edition can to be released later this year.

New age “fashion icon” Amy Winehouse has been offered a deal to promote designs by Italian fashion mogul Roberto Cavalli. According to reports out of Britain, Amy would receive a supply of Cavalli Original to wear to public functions and performances.

“Cavalli was suitably taken in by what Victoria (Beckham) had to say that he’s now determined to get Amy on board.”

High fashion could be on it’s way to the small screen. Italian designer Roberto Cavalli is in talks with the producers of Project Runway and America’s Next Top Model to appear in his own reality series.

Cavalli said he “loved” doing “Project Runway” with Tyra Banks during the opening of his Just Cavalli boutique last September and that the former model’s agent is in talks with him for a show of his own.

Cavalli says he has plans to “[present] a TV show in New York — it’s in the works.”

Roberto Cavalli has revealed the designs he has created for the upcoming Spice Girls Reunion Tour.

“I have known Victoria Beckham for a long time and have always admired her style and personality,” the fashion legend explained to Vogue. “When we talked about the worldwide tour, The Return of the Spice Girls, she put forward the idea of me creating all their costumes to which I immediately agreed.”

“At their debut, the Spice Girls generated a trend with their individual looks and now, ten years later, they have put their trust in me to get a new, unique and iconic appeal for the tour,” Cavalli continued.

“The Spice Girls are one of the biggest global success stories with their appeal crossing many generations and millions of fans awaiting their return. When I met them, I immediately understood the reason why the world went crazy for their unique brand of ‘girl power’ – they are an irresistible mix of energy, pure joy, humour and a spicy dash of glamour. I’m sure their strength will take us by storm again.”
