Actor, Rob Lowe, announced yesterday via Twitter that he was hearing Indianapolis Colts quarterback, Peyton Manning, was set to retire. Lowe tweeted, “Hearing my fave #18 Peyton Manning will not return to #NFL. Wow. #Colts.”
Twitter and the sports world exploded with rumors of Peyton’s demise, ending his luxurious career. Peyton of course missed the entire season last year after having surgery on his neck.
Rob also tweeted, “#Colts fans, let’s hope my info is wrong. Don’t like being wrong, but this time… I’m hoping #NFL #Manning”
No official word yet from Peyton’s camp or the Indianapolis Colts on any pending retirement.
Femme-centered cable network Lifetime has plucked Brat Packer Rob Lowe to play suspected wife-killer Drew Peterson in its latest Ripped From the Headlines TV movie, the aptly-titled The Drew Peterson Story. The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco will aboard as Petersen’s much younger wife, Stacy, The Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday.

It’s still the world’s No. 1 sitcom, but can the show go on without its No. 1 star?
Actor Rob Lowe is in chats to replace recently-ousted actor Charlie Sheen on the hit sitcom Two and a Half Men, The New York Post reported Tuesday. Sheen was formally terminated from the popular CBS comedy on Monday following several weeks of public feuding with the network and series producer Chuck Lorre. The “Winningest Man in Showbiz” launched a 10-day media blitz on everyone affiliated with program after they cancelled the remaining episodes of the current eighth season of the show.

Nanny, and Sex Tapes, and Scandals: Oh My! One-time Brat Packer Rob Lowe is joining a brigade of celebrities; including Rick Springfield and Demi Moore; with a memoir in the works. Lowe has inked a deal with Henry Holt & Co. to release his tome, Stories I Only Tell My Friends, in May 2011. The former Brothers and Sisters star is expected to revisit the 1989 sex tape scandal that followed his unwitting romp with a pair of underage girls and his attention-grabbing legal battle with a former nanny in 2008.
