Former political videographer Rielle Hunter won headlines and contempt when she gave birth to the illegitimate daughter of shamed ex-Senator John Edwards, but she’s never been more “crushed” than the day she got snubbed by The Queen of Talk.
Oprah Winfrey, who will unveil The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) on cable Jan. 1, shot down a pitch for a TV talk show hosted by Hunter, industry snoops tell The National Enquirer.
Elizabeth Edwards isn’t even cold in her grave, but the woman who helped destroy her 30 year marriage is already setting her sights on womanizing widower John Edwards.
On The Oprah Winfrey Show on Thursday, John Edwards’ former mistress Rielle Hunter said that she doesn’t believe she destroyed the former presidential candidate’s marriage — this despite the fact that she gave birth to the Southerner’s illegitimate child as his unassuming wife battled cancer.
(Delusional much?)
“It is not my experience that a third party wrecks a home,” Hunter told The Queen of Talk as the women discussed Rielle’s two year romance with Edwards. “I believe the problems exist before a third party comes into the picture….I do not believe I wrecked his home.”
In a new tell-all interview with Rielle Hunter, the former mistress of presidential candidate John Edwards, reveals the most intimate details of her nearly two year affair with the former North Carolina senator to The Queen of Talk. Oprah sits down with Hunter for her first TV interview on the scandal on Thursday, April 29.
The affair — which was first undercovered by The National Enquirer — resulted in Hunter’s pregnancy with Edwards’ “lovechild,” Frances Quinn. Last month, Hunter answered personal questions about the affair for GQ Magazine and posed for pictures “partially undressed.”
