“Cheers” Alum Kirstie Alley Rhea Perlman Re-Team For ABC Comedy “The Manzanis”
Cheers Reunion! Rhea Perlman will team up with her one-time Cheers co-star Kirstie Alley on a new comedy series for ABC, CNN said Monday.
(The pair are famous for their roles as manager Rebecca Howe-Santry and mean-spirited waitress Carla Tortelli in the ’80s hit.)
Perlman, 63, has inked a deal to appear in The Manzanis, Alley’s new pilot about an Italian-American family from New Jersey. Deadline’s already dubbed it “a new take on Roseanne.” She’ll play the mother-in-law of Kirstie’s matriarch character.
