Renee Zellweger is baffled by reports she’s preparing to reprise her role as British singleton Bridget Jones – because there are no plans for another sequel.
Earlier this year, rumors surfaced claiming the Oscar-winning actress was set to don a fatsuit to play Bridget for a third time – eight years after the first film adaptation of Helen Fielding’s best-selling novel hit the big screen.

Renee insists she hasn’t been approached about Bridget Jones’ Diary – Part 3.
“I get asked (about) that every single day and I don’t know anything.”
Renee Zellweger won’t be piling on the pounds to reprise her role as overweight diary-keeper Bridget Jones in the latest addition to the popular Bridget Jones’ Diary film franchise — she’ll don a fat suit instead.

The Oscar-winning star has signed on for a third film about the unlucky in love Brit and her quest to become a mother in her 40s. But instead of embarking on a high-fat diet as she did for the 2001 and 2004 films Renee will wear a costume to make her appear larger, The Mirror learned on Tuesday.
“Renee will be wearing a fat suit in the third film as it took her a while to lose the weight last time. She’s also thinking about the effect quickly putting on and then losing 30 pounds has on her body,” a production source reveals.
Buzzed about new couple Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger have apparently learned nothing from their shortlived marriages. Glamorati.com is reporting that after just a month of dating, the Bridget Jones star, 40, is already engaged to marry Jennifer Aniston’s rumored ex.

In 2005, Renee, as you may recall, married country star Kenny Chesney after five months after dating. The couple seperated seven months later. Bradley was married to actress Jennifer Esposito for four months in 2007.

Working Title Films is developing a third movie in the franchise about Renee Zellweger’s quirky British television journalist Bridget Jones.
Based on the writings of author Helen Fielding — the Bridget Jones film franchise also includes box office hits Bridget Jones’ Diary and Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason.
It is believed that the new film will concentrate on Jones’ quest to have a baby in her 40s.
Bridget Jones’ Diary — which co-starred Hugh Grant and Colin Firth — took in nearly $282 million worldwide at the box office following its release in 2001. All series leads are expected to reprise their roles, Variety reports.
Production on the next film is not expected to begin until late next year.

Renee Zellweger celebrates “The 50 Most Glamorous Women of 2009″ with the June issue of Glamour.
Renee’s Her Dream Guy: “I’m attracted to intelligence and creativity and passion – and not necessarily the romantic kind,” Renee – who was briefly married to country crooner — explains. “I want to learn from someone who is greedy for information and light and laughter and the whole world. Someone who celebrates their days and finds inspiration in what other people accomplish.”
Renee on Twitter: “I can’t think of anything more horrible than sharing what I’m doing all day..”

Add another name to the growing list of celebrities who wish that Paris Hilton would set up residence on another planet. Bee Movie star Renee Zellweger recently told a London newspaper of P.H:
“People work hard to get where they are in this business, so it makes me angry when I see someone making a mockery of what we do, just trying to make five bucks.”
