Is talent show pundit Randy Jackson saying “Goodbye, Idol” and “Hello, Daytime?” Randy Jackson, former Journey bassist and A&R hotshot, is throwing his hat into the daytime talk show arena. American Idol’s “Top Dawg” is pitching a gabfest to various Hollywood TV execs as the small screen prepares for a fall lineup that won’t include talk show icon Oprah Winfrey for the first time in a quarter century. So far, no takers — but that doesn’t mean Randy hasn’t got a blueprint.
