The first trailer for Guy Ritchie’s big screen adaptation of Sherlock Holmes – starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, and Rachel McAdams — made its online debut on Monday.

In a dynamic new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous characters, “Sherlock Holmes” sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.
Sherlock Holmes will be released through Warner Bros. Pictures on November 20, 2009.
Actress Rachel McAdams, who has starred in popular films like Mean Girls and The Notebook, will appear alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in a new film adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, according to online reports.
Director Guy Ritchie will announce Rachel’s casting in the film at a press conference in London on Wednesday, October 1.
