Perfectionist Stewart recently appeared on Ray’s popular daytime show, but she insists things are far from “Yum-O” between the two TV chefs.

“She professed that she cannot bake (and) she just did a new cookbook which is just a re-edit of a lot of her old recipes, and that’s not good enough for me,” Martha says. “I mean, I really want to write a book that is a unique and lasting thing. Something that will really fulfill a need in someone’s library. So, she’s different. She’s more of an entertainer than she is… a teacher, like me.”

Rachael has taken the high road after learning what Martha said.

“Why would it make me mad?” Ray told ABC. “Her skill set is far beyond mine. That’s simply the reality of it. That doesn’t mean what I do isn’t important, too … I don’t consider it needling. I really just think she’s being honest.”

Rachael is recovering after having a benign cyst removed from her vocal chord in a procedure last week.

“After several months of vocal therapy and on the advice of her doctors, Rachael decided to have a benign cyst removed from her vocal cord,” rep Charlie Dougiello reported. “According to Rachael’s doctors the minor, non-invasive procedure was a success and she is already resting at home,” he added.

The chatty host of The Rachael Ray Show turns 41 next week.

“They’re very different. You can really see it, even from when they’re really young. Boy, girl. It’s funny to say because he’s more like the visceral boy, running, knocking things down, eating the world – you know what I mean? And she’s kinda like, takes a step and stops and picks things up, and she’s like, ‘I don’t know, maybe I’ll eat this.’ … It’s funny because now that I see Max, I’m like, I was more like Max.”

Television’s about to get a lot Rosier. Comedienne Rosie O’Donnell will enjoy a three-day co-hosting stint on The Rachael Ray Show next week, leading up to the premiere of her Rosie Live! Variety Show on Wednesday night.

The View’s Joy Behar downplayed rumors of strife and off-screen tensions between the show’s four outspoken co-hostess’ during her Election Day appearance on Rachael Ray’s Emmy-winning talk show.

“It is called The View — it’s not called The Nice View!” Joy explained. “We do have good ratings, so I think people do enjoy seeing lively arguments between women. I mean, that’s the way women talk to each other when things get hot. They always say, don’t talk religion or politics. Well, those are the two topics we like the best!”

The brash comedienne also denied rumors that she nearly clawed out the eyes of conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck during a heated backstage face-off between the two women.

“She and I are pals. We’re friends! The minute the camera stops rolling, we’re discussing her daughter …We have a great relationship outside of the show.”
