There’s a hot dish of celebrity drama brewing in America’s TV kitchen. The high priestess of homemaking, Martha Stewart, issued a verbal smackdown to cookin’ counterpart Rachael Ray in an interview airing on ABC’s Nightline Thursday evening (11:30PM ET).

Stewart quips that Ray’s efforts are “not good enough for me” and that the quirky author, infamous for her embrace of catchphrases like “Oh my gravy!” and “Delish!,” is a nauseating rip-off, who recast old recipes for her 30-minute meal books.

Yum-O! Emmy-winning chefista Rachael Ray will serve up an early free Thanksgiving dinner to an Ohio community slammed by job losses, The Associated Press has learned.

The talk show host and culinary impressario is offering residents of Wilmington, Ohio a free dinner at the local convention center on Nov. 8. The City of Wilmington, tucked away in southwest Ohio, has lost thousands of jobs due to the pullout of delivery company DHL Express. A message to Wilmington on Rachael’s website Friday says while her show can’t fix the economy, she plans to do her part to ease these tough economic times through food.
Residents who want tickets to the Rachael’s Thanksgiving Giveaway must sign up online and will have to show ID proving they live in the Wilmington zip code.

Rachael Ray has undergone surgery to correct a problem with her vocal cords, a rep for the Emmy-winning talk show foodie told PEOPLE Friday. Read the rest of this entry »
