A very pregnant Ashlee Simpson-Wentz spent her first trimester gleefully stocking up on fried foods and heavy starches, a pal of the pop songstress tells Life & Style.

“Ashlee’s problem is that she believes she’s eating for two,” says an insider, who adds that the star has already ballooned 22 pounds only halfway through her pregnancy. “It’s as if she wants to eat everything in sight….She likes anything with chocolate.”
