Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul returns to reality TV when her new series Live to Dance debuts with a two-hour series premiere on CBS Tuesday, Jan. 4.
The show will then move to its regular time slot — Wednesdays at 8 PM –which The Washington Post eloquently points out is the same night that Idol typically airs its weekly Results Show.
We hear Paula Abdul is in chats to bring her loopy brand of humor to TV’s most raved-about musical-comedy — Glee!
Snoops in-the-know reportedly tell National Enquirer Gossip Guy Mike Walker that FOX and Glee producers are quietly working on a deal to bring the beloved one-time American Idol pundit to the Emmy-nominated show for a guest appearance that could air before the conclusion of Glee’s current second season.
This fall, former American Idol judge Paula Abdul will host a new dance show — Got to Dance — on CBS.
She certainly seems like the woman for the job: The “Straight Up” singer has an extensive background as a dancer, choreographer, and former Lakers cheerleader.
Now Abdul is on the prowl for dance’s next big thing.
Paula Abdul made a special appearance on Wednesday night’s American Idol Season 9 Finale with a touching “send-off” to brash judge Simon Cowell.
“I’VE WORKED WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE OVER THE YEARS. HOT CHEERLEADERS. BIG MOVIE STARS. WORLD FAMOUS RECORDING ARTISTS. EVEN A CARTOON CAT. BUT IF I’M BEING TRULY HONEST, NONE OF THEM HOLDS A CANDLE TO YOU, MY FRIEND….”
Our favorite little tipsy music critic is making a comeback to the world of reality television with the role of a judge, mentor, and executive producer on the reality dance series Got to Dance, premiering on CBS in the fall.
