Did you know that Ozzy Osbourne was once diagnosed HIV positive? The results were wrong, of course, but the Black Sabbath legend was told he had contracted the deadly virus, until further investigation revealed the results were due to the damage drug and alcohol abuse had caused.

“When I used to get fucking loaded I would get myself into all kinds of situations,” Ozzy explains in an interview with the November issue of Glamour UK. “It turns out that because I was drinking and using drugs so much, my immune system had dropped so that it was a borderline result. When I went back to be tested again it was negative.”

Ozzy Osbourne has been awarded “substantial” damages in his libel claim against a British tabloid.

The Daily Star has been ordered to pay the fifty-nine year old Black Sabbath legend an unspecified dollar amount after the tabloid dubbed him a “freak show” and alleged he threw the Brit Awards into chaos after he suffered a health scare during The Osbourne family’s hosting gig at the event last February.

The Daily Star article, entitled “Ozzy’s Freak Show,” falsely claimed that Ozzy had toppled over twice before the ceremony was about to begin, prompting frightened Brit Awards organizers to hold emergency talks about whether they should send him to hospital.

The damages will be donated to Sharon Osbourne’s charity – the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program.

British Poll Dubs Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and Ozzy Osbourne The Worst Singers Of All Time

Ozzy Osbourne, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion have been dubed the “worst singers of all time.”

The poll, administered by British magazine Q, lauds Elvis Presley as “the greatest voice of all time”, but singles out popular stars such as Dion and Carey for their vocal inability.

The judging panel says, “(Mariah Carey) may have an 100-octave range and the ability to sing so loudly that birds’ nests fall from tress, but that doesn’t make it right. (Celine Dion) grinds out every note as if bearing some grudge against the very notion of economy.”

Ozzfest Is Now Officially Free

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne announced on Tuesday that the rock festival extravaganza known as Ozzfest will be free this year.

S.O says she made the decision after prices for last year’s tour hit $150, making the summer music fest too pricey for many hardcore fans to attend.

“For the last few years, ticket prices have steadily climbed as artists demand more and more money for summer tours,” Sharon said. “We certainly want everybody to make money; however, we also want the kids to be able to afford to come out and have an incredible experience. If we continued with the traditional touring festival model, we would have no choice but to raise ticket prices again this year.”

“We’re reaching the same point we did years ago when kids no longer wanted to pay for overpriced CDs,” the Osbourne mistress continued. “As a result, they found alternative ways of getting music. That’s what’s happening with summer touring in this country, it’s outpricing itself.”

Ozzfest will offset the loss in ticket revenue by requiring the show’s sponsors to pony up a little additional dough.

Ozzy Osbourne is the only confirmed headliner.
