Author Stephenie Meyer will appear on Oprah this Friday. The woman behind the smash Twilight literary and film franchise will promote the opening of the second film in the trilogy during an interview with the Queen of Talk this week. “Since I’m only doing one interview, better make it big. Really big. So … I will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, November 13th,” Stephenie blogged on Saturday.
New Moon, the second film in The Twilight Saga series, opens in theaters Nov. 20.
Last March, Oprah appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to grant one of Ellen’s wildest dreams — to appear on the cover of O Magazine — and it’s finally happening!
Ellen’s covers the December issue of O! The holiday-themed “Get Your Glow On!” issue arrives on newsstands Nov. 12. Ellen will also stop by Oprah this Monday to talk about life with wife Portia and her new job as a judge on American Idol.

Big changes may be on the horizon for daytime TV. Rumors are swirling that The Queen of Talk Oprah Winfrey may quit her daily talk show to focus on running OWN, The Oprah Winfrey Network. Word is, Oprah may step down from The Oprah Winfrey Show – which has shaped the face of TV talk shows since its debut in 1985 — to turn her focus to developing content for the new network, which she’s launching with Discovery.
On Thursday, a spokesperson for Harpo Productions released a statement declaring that O has yet to decide whether she’ll extend the life of her syndicated show.

Patrick Swayze’s widow, Lisa Niemi, will sit down for a intimate conversationn with Oprah Winfrey during an episode of the Queen of Talk’s daytime gabfest airing this Friday.
According to a press statement from Harpo Productions, O has snaggedd Neimi’s “first one-on-one interview since the death of her husband.” The beloved actor died Sept. 14 at age 57 of pancreatic cancer.

In an emotional interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show Monday, former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson tells Oprah that he was enraged over the death of his 4-year-old daughter Exodus last May. The little girl choked in a fatal treadmill accident in her mother’s Arizona mansion, but Tyson says he doesn’t want to know what went wrong.
“You don’t want to know?” Oprah asked
“If I know, then there might be a blame for it,” Iron Mike replied. “And if there’s somebody to blame for it, there will be a problem.”
He added: “My first instinct was a lot of rage, you know, and I was so happy that I had the tools in life, you know, to not go in that direction because I’ve been that direction. I know where that’s gonna lead me. I know I’m not gonna win.”
Oprah Winfrey is being sued more than $316,000 by a former flight attendant on her private jet,who claims she was fired after the media titan accused her of having sex on the aircraft, The Washington Post reports.
Corrine Gehrls, 39, claims she was fired after false allegations that she had sex on board with chief pilot Terry Pansing, 57, back in June while the Queen of Talk and other passengers slept. Gehrls claims O knew the “mile high” sex allegations were “obviously false” since the $42 million plane was on the ground refueling when the event allegedly occurred.
The lawsuit alleges that fellow flight attendants Myron Gooch and Kirby Bumpus – who is the daughter of O’s best friend Gayle King and the star’s goddaughter– accused Gehrls and Pansing of having sex during a flight in which the talk show host and other passengers slept “following their ingestion of sleeping pills.”
