The beginning of the end is here for devoted fans of The Oprah Winfrey Show. After more than 4,400 episodes and 28,000 guests, The Queen of Daytime kicks off her 25th and final season today with a dance with John Travolta and a “Love Train” with The O’Jays.
On her 19th season premiere in 2004, Oprah gave a car to the nearly 300 people in her studio audience. She famously exclaimed: “You get a car! You get a car! You get a car! Everybody gets a car!” No free whips in 2010, however, the show is promising many surprises as O prepares to embark on a new era of television as frontwoman of The Oprah Network.
