Brooke Hogan is an idiot –but you already knew that.

The aspiring singer has jumped to the defense of her dad, Hulk Hogan, who likened the anger he feels towards estranged wife Linda Hogan –who is Brooke’s mother mind you–to that of accused killer OJ Simpson.

“I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody’s throat,” Hulk fumed this week in an interview with Rolling Stone. “You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can’t go to anymore, you’re driving through downtown Clearwater and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife . . . I totally understand OJ. I get it.”

Brooke, who has publicly supported her dad throughout her parent’s messy divorce, has cited the all too familar “taken out of context” excuse in response to her dad’s comments. The 20-year-old says she has nothing but the utmost respect for her dad.

“I cannot believe how blown out of proportion one small part of a 7-page article has become. It’s a classic case of a quote being taken out of context,” Brooke said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Friday.

“I look up to my father in every way,” she says. “He has been through so much and has taken the high road through it all. The idea that he would condone the OJ situation is just outrageous.”

Linda Hogan is responding to comments her estranged husband, former wrestling star Hulk Hogan, made in an article with Rolling Stone this week.

In the interview, on newsstands Friday, Hulk is quoted as saying, “I could’ve turned everything into a crime scene, like O.J., cutting everybody’s throat. You see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, sleeping in your bed, with your wife. I mean, I totally understand O.J.”

The former family man later released a statement insisting his comments were taken out of context.

“Hulk’s serial cheating destroyed our marriage, our family and our future. Sadly, his recent comments remind us that his definition of fair is much different than what the law dictates,” Linda said in response to the controversy Wednesday evening.

A rep for Linda says that the family is “taking these recent comments seriously,” adding that the mother of two is using Hulk’s recent comments as futher evidence that the wrestling legend truly is the psycho she always believed he was.

“We have always maintained that the fear that Linda has had to live with comes from the rage and instability much too often associated with pro wrestlers.”

While discussing his bitter divorce from wife of 24 years Linda, the wrestling legend told Stone reporters that he could have turned Linda’s life into a “crime scene,” adding “I totally understand O.J.”

Hogan now says his statements were taken out of context.

“Hulk in no way condones the OJ situation. As part of a larger conversation, he referred to it to exemplify his frustration with his own situation,” the athlete’s rep said a statment to the press this afternoon.

Um….we’re not sure that helps, Hulk.

But after tossed out of his $18 million Central Florida mansion and having his estranged wife blow through nearly $400,000 a month as they hash out the details of their split in a bitter divorce battle, Hulk says he now understands why some men go postal and snap their wives’ necks.

O.J., sit’cho ass down!

An “emotional” O.J. Simpson apologized to the court just before being sentenced on kidnapping and armed robbery charges in Nevada on Friday.

“I’m sorry for all of it,” the football great cried.

The 61-year-old will serve at least six years of the fifteen year sentence.

O.J. Simpson was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Friday.

In October, the former NFL star was convicted on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, and burglary after he and a few pals broke into a Nevada hotel room to recover the accused killer’s stolen sports memorabilia in 2007.

Simpson is eligible for parole after six years. His co-defendent, CJ Stewart, was sentenced to 16 years.

Nearly thirteen years to the day he was acquitted of killing ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and waiter Ronald Goldman in Los Angeles, OJ Simpson has been found guilty on all charges stemming from a gun-wielding robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas casino hotel room last September.

OJ was convicted of twelve counts including kidnapping, armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

The 61-year-old former NFL player is facing a possible life sentence; he will learn his fate during a hearing later this week.

Furthermore, the Olsen twins have been previously investigated for tax-evasion, money laundering and fraud. Mary Kate was also caught in the hype surrounding Heath Ledger’s death, after the masseuse that found the actor dead called her before 911.

5. Lindsay Lohan

A name that has began to be associated with alcohol, drugs and painkiller abuse, Lindsay Lohan is on a bumpy road to fame. Friends confessed she has been snorting cocaine and popping Oxycontin, one of the most dangerous illegal drugs in the world, then washing them down with vodka. After reaching rehab, she failed several drug tests and drowned the grief in vodka sneaked in by a friend. These actions have already proved harmful for her career, since she missed the start of her new film, Poor Things, and she postponed recording her new album.

4. Tom Cruise

Surrounded by controversy, Tom Cruise is one of the most talked about celebrities in Hollywood. After brutal break-up with Nicole Kidman and a surprisingly rapid proposal to an unlikely girl friend such as Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise started taking his role of advocate for the Church of Scientology more and more seriously. He criticized actress Brooke Shields for using an anti-depressant after giving birth to her daughter while also stating that psychiatry “is a Nazi science”. No list about celebrity failures would have been complete without Paris Hilton. After triggering hype with her sex tape, she spent 45 days in prison for violating the terms of her probation from a DUI incident. Paris also got her friends in Hollywood pissed, when the contents of her Sidekick leaked, making Lindsay Lohan’s, Snoop Dogg’s or Avril Lavigne’s phone numbers public to the world. Recently, her new movie, The Hottie and the Nottie, has been rated the worst movie of all time by internet users.

2. Britney Spears

This time we won’t LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!! After settling down with Kevin Federline, having two kids for which she lost custody, Britney is desperately trying to live up to her fan’s expectations. The train-wreck that her personal life is becoming has proved to be an obstacle for her career as well – the performance at the MTV awards was the preview for what proves to be one of the worst comebacks in pop history. Spears’ increasingly erratic behavior continues complicating her custody case even more. And we haven’t even mentioned the haunting image of the bald Britney.

1. Michael Jackson and his children

One of the trickiest subjects on the list, “Michael Jackson and children” has been making headlines since 1993, when he was first accused of molestation. In 1994, he reached an undisclosed financial settlement with the accuser but this is only a case that foreshadowed numerous other ones. When he was given an opportunity to show the public his child skills, he failed notoriously – MJ greeted his fans in Berlin by dangling his son, Prince Michael II (a.k.a. ”Blanket”), over the railing. He hasn’t given up his lavish lifestyle in spite of the diminishing sales on his albums, Forbes estimating his net worth at $350 million and his debt at $200 million.

And the question we can’t yet answer: Will Miley Cyrus be the next big celebrity to make this list? Only time and the paparazzi will tell.

OJ Simpson has asked Donald Trump for a role on the next season of Celebrity Apprentice.

“Simpson really wants to do it. Trump and NBC are thinking about it, but are being very cautious,” a source revealed to the New York Post. “There’s a certain amount of heat associated with Simpson.”
