“No Doubt agreed to place avatars containing their name and likeness performing three No Doubt songs in the upcoming Band Hero game of the Guitar Hero series from Activision,” reads a statement from the band, obtained by Rolling Stone Magazine this week. “Without the band’s knowledge or approval Activision turned the group into virtual karaoke players by having them perform over 60 additional songs by other musical groups.”

No Doubt has recorded a cover of Adam & The Ants ’80s hit “Stand and Deliver.” The recently reunited band will perform the single on The CW’s Gossip Girl May 11.

As previously announced, Gwen Stefani and No Doubt will perform “Stand And Deliver” on the May 11 episode of The CW’s Gossip Girl, but some exciting new details are emerging about the band’s big television appearance.

According to The New York Post, No Doubt will appear as the fictional band Snowed Out on the eagerly-awaited flashback episode intended to introduce G.G fans to the main characters on the show’s upcoming spin-off. The flashback episode is set in 1983 Los Angeles and will follow a young Lily van der Woodsen (nee Rhodes) played by Brittany Snow.

“We’ve done plenty of television performances, as ourselves doing our own songs, but ‘Gossip Girl’ was a new situation,” No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont remarks in a new interview with The Post. “We’re kind of like actors in the sense that we’re doing something within a drama on television.”

No Doubt rocks Gossip Girl on Monday, May 11 at 9 p.m. on The CW.

This just in: Recently reunited No Doubt will perform “Stand And Deliver” for the first time ever on The CW’s Gossip Girl May 11 @ 8/7CT.

After a nearly five year hiatus, Grammy-winning rock band No Doubt announced plans for a 2009 summer tour on Wednesday.

“The whole reason for going on this tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make new music,” says lead singer Gwen Stefani. “It feels good to be all together again.”

“Now that five years have passed, the excitement level for us is extremely high,” drummer Adrian Young adds. “We are so fresh and ready! I feel like a kid again when rehearsing these songs.”

Set to launch this May in the U.S. and Canada, the band will play arenas and amphitheaters across North America with special guest Paramore.

“What a dream tour! We couldn’t be more excited to kick off 2009 by touring with a band like No Doubt,” said Paramore singer Hayley Williams. Actual dates will be announced soon, stay posted on new info on the tour at http://www.nodoubt.com.

No Doubt last toured in 2004 with Blink 182.

Gwen Stefani has reunited with her No Doubt bandmates for a late 2007 album, but the ‘Hollaback Girl’s’ skyrocketing solo career created some tense reactions within the sect.
She says, “It would be ridiculous to say there was no tension. Because my solo career has been going on and on. It was never supposed to be this long”.

No Doubt reunited over the weekend during Gwen Stefani’s ‘Sweet Escape’ stop in Irvine, California.

Gwen Stefani will return to recording with her No Doubt bandmates by the end of the year, say guitarist Tom Dumont.

“(Guitarist) Tony (Kanal) and (drummer) Adrian (Young) and I have been writing music for the next No Doubt album, to be ready when we resume to record with Gwen (next year),” T.D told MTV.
