Simon Cowell must not have been satisfied with the overall product of X Factor this season….
Late yesterday we learned that Welsh host, Steve Jones, would not be returning to the singing competition. Jones tweeted saying, “I wont [sic] be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I cant complain as I’ve had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show.”
A few hours later we also learned from E!’s Marc Malkin, that judge, Nicole Scherzinger, has also decided to not return next season. A source close to X Factor told E!, “She wants to focus on her music career. She’s spoken to Simon [Cowell] and he’s given her his blessing.”
Former Pussycat Doll-turned-Dancing With the Stars champ Nicole Scherzinger is looking forward to assuming her position at the judges’ table when The X Factor premieres on FOX next month — especially since it means relishing the chance to watch Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul bicker with one another.
Songstress Sarah Bareilles will join Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman on the celebrity judging panel of NBC’s a cappella singing competition, The Sing Off, now that former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger is off to find The X Factor on FOX.
Girl bander Cheryl Cole is officially unemployed — Stateside anyway. Former Pussycat Dolls frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger has been officially announced as the replacement for the Girls Aloud hitmaker. Scherzinger, the Dancing With The Stars champ who had originally been tipped to host The X Factor alongside Welsh presenter Steve Jones, will now join singer/choreographer Paula Abdul and record moguls Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the judging panel of the talent show. The news comes after weeks of reports that Cole, a judge on the UK version of X Factor, had been sacked after a luckluster debut during the early days of auditions and producers fears that American audiences would have difficulty understanding her thick Geordie accent.
While you were chowing down on BBQ and honoring America’s fallen soldiers over the Memorial Day Weekend, Pussycat Doll frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger — supposedly the newest judging panelist on the US adaptation of The X Factor — was busy proving that she’s more than just great hair and a glorious pair of gams at the Hugo Boss Party in Monte Carlo. That’s where the singer was when she turned in this impressive cover of Adele’s charttopping single “Rolling In The Deep.”
