Harlow’s mama had a good reason for being at MTV headquarters last week. New whispers from the Rumor Mill claim Nicole Richie is planning a big return to the small screen via a new reality show that will go on the hunt for the nation’s next untalented socialite.
EW.com has learned that the former coheadliner of The Simple Life has been pitching a reality show that would scour the country for the next, well, Nicole Richie. According to one exec who’s heard the pitch, the unscripted show would take seven girls from across the U.S. and test their ability to achieve insta-fame.
There are presently three undisclosed networks interested in Nic’s proposed series.
DJ Samantha Ronson and Alicia Keys will provide the entertainment when Nicole Richie and Joel Madden jump the broom later this month. Joel Madden and Nicole Richie will marry in a $2 million ceremony at dad Lionel Richie’s Bel-Air estate at 4pm on June 29th, Star Magazine claims. According to the celebrity weekly, Nicole and Joel will tie the knot while their five month old daughter, Harlow, is craddled in Nicole’s arms.

Nicole Richie could be on her way to Primetime’s Most Popular Teen Soap. The new mom is rumored to be up for a guest spot on a still-to-be determined episode of The CW’s hit drama Gossip Girl. Details are sketchy, but Lionel Richie’s little girl has reportedly been tapped to walk the halls of Constance Billard School for Girls shoulder to shoulder with young stars Michelle Trachtenberg, Leighton Meester, and Blake Lively.
