“The day after DJ AM’’s memorial, rumours began to fly that Nicole Richie – Adam Goldstein’s former fiancee – was admitted to a local Los Angeles hospital. Could she finally be ready to give birth?” a spy revealed to the website.
Nicole and Joel already share a 19-month-old daughter, Harlow.
(Well…we all knew this rumor was coming.)
“Were you still in love with him?” an angry Joel Madden spat as Nicole Richie tearfully mourned the death of her former fiance, celebrity spinner DJ AM.
AM, born Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment of a suspected drug overdose last Friday night. Nicole — a recovering addict herself — dated Adam for two years before the couple split in 2006. They remained friends — which is why the Hollywood DJ’s death has been so devastating for the beloved reality personality, who is expecting her second child with Joel next month, The National Enquirer reports.

The sudden drug-related death of DJ Adam “AM” Goldstein has left the celebrity spinner’s former fiancee, socialite Nicole Richie, overcome with despair. Nicole is struggling to cope with the death of her ex as she prepares to welcome her second child with Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden, spywitnesses say.

“Nicole almost collapsed in grief when she found out,” an insider tells Star. “She said she felt like her heart stopped for a few minutes.”
The former couple bonded over their battles against addiction — crack for Adam, heroin for Nicole — and were briefly engaged to marry in 2005. Adam went on to date singer Mandy Moore.
“Adam was the one who got her to straighten up,” says a source. “She never thought he’d come to this. She’s horrified and regrets that she didn’t reach out and help him.”
Nicole has been under a doctor’s care since learning of Adam’s death in New York City last Friday.
Nicole Richie has so many beautiful childhood memories of her late godfather, King of Pop Michael Jackson, the reformed wildchild plans to name her second child after him.

Nicole Richie was glued to the tube for Monday night’s second season finale Gossip Girl. The episode saw the Manhattan silver spoon-fed cast of characters graduating as they got one step closer to revealing the idea of Gossip Girl.
Unfortunately for the show’s writers, Nic found the season ender unremarkable, writing on her Twitter page: Gossip Girl was… well… if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say it at all.
