Nelly Furtado and Elton John will perform duet of The Rocket Man’s 1973 hit “Crocodile Rock” for the upcoming animated ensemble comedy Gnomeo & Juliet, a project that is being produced by John’s longtime beau David Furnish. Elton’s already agreed to lay down vocals with pop sensation Lady Gaga for the movie’s theme song, “Hello, Hello.”
Gnomeo & Juliet arrives in theaters Feb. 11, 2011.

Canadian star Nelly Furtado has blasted Madonna over the pop legend’s reluctance to age naturally. The 30-year-old “Maneater” singer insists she won’t try to make herself appear younger in order to boost her career and won’t undertake the grueling exercise regime that has become common for Madge.

Nelly Furtado was once offered more than $1 milllion to pose naked for Playboy.
The Portuguese/Canadian singer-songwriter, 30, has revealed that she when she was 22 she was courted for a nude centerfold by Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. Nelly turned down the offer down, but added that she would not mind posing at a later time.
“The magazine was even prepared to pay me 500,000 dollars to pose with my clothes on. I didn’t want Playboy on my resume at the age of 22,” she told The Mail on Sunday. “If they ask me when I’m 40 I’ll probably say yes,” she added.
Nelly recently released her first Spanish-language album.
