“I’ve never not completed a show—I’ve never done this before,” he told the crowd, wiping away tears. “I want to say…I want to thank y’all for bearing with me as long as y’all did, I appreciate that.”

BBC Manchester presenter Karen Gabay was at the concert and said Ne-Yo looked like he had a “really bad fever”.

“He was doing a Michael Jackson tribute and you could see that he was actually struggling to finish every musical phrase. He kept asking the audience to bear with him. Then he actually was crying. I thought it was because he had done a couple of Michael Jackson tributes and he was getting a little bit overcome,” she explained.

“Then he did a slow song, he was really struggling to move, he was absolutely pouring with sweat, and he went over to a table. He was actually hanging on for dear life and he looked as if he was about to drop then, he looked so ill. My friend also noticed that his songs had been shortened.”

Ne-Yo has found an unlikely fan in legendary entertainer Bette Midler.

The R&B singer/songwriter/producer managed to wowed “The Divine Miss M” during an energetic live set at Radio City Music Hall earlier this year.

“The last person I saw that I thought was really good was Ne-Yo at Radio City,” says Bette.

“We were the oldest people in the whole house and when 11 o clock came we had to get up and worm ourselves back to our house, like, ‘Oh my god, it’s past my bedtime!’ But he was fantastic. One of his girls is one of my old dancers from my old show. He was great and they were great and it was very nice to see him.”

Award-winning singer/songwriter/producer Ne-Yo will lend his hitmaking skills to a bizarre collaboration with controversial rock star Marilyn Manson.

Ne-Yo has postponed recording sessions with The Pussycat Dolls and Michael Jackson to concentrate on his hook-up with Manson.

“We’re about to go into the studio together. I’ve wanted to work with him for ages and his people reached out to me when they heard,” the Year of the Gentleman star says.

“I have no idea what the music will sound like or what direction we’ll take, but it will be really cool. We’re obviously two separate sides of the musical extreme but that’s what makes it exciting.”

Ne-Yo added: “People might think it’s a strange collaboration, I don’t. But don’t worry – you won’t see me adopting his style. I don’t think you’ll ever see me in make-up.”

NKOTB finally rocked Rockefeller Plaza on Thursday after Hurricane Gustav postponed the recently reunited boy band’s highly-anticipated performance on TODAY’s Summer Concert Series earlier this week.

New Kids On The Block joins forces with R&B superproduer Ne-Yo on their latest single, adeptly titled “Single.”

The 80s/90s era boy band released The Block, their first studio album in more than fourteen years on Tuesday.

Recording artists Chris Brown, Julianne Hough, and Ne-Yo attended the debut of their new Wrigley’s Gum jingles at the Nokia Theatre in New York City on Tuesday.

The singing stars were commissioned to record hip remakes of the signature songs that accompanied classic Doublemint, Big Red, and Juicy Fruit commercials.

Chris Brown’s smash Summer single “Forever” was actually produced as a jingle for Wrigley’s new Doublemint promo campaign. Ne-Yo has put his spin on Big Red’s “Kiss A Little Longer” diddley. And Dancing With The Stars pro Julianne Hough is the new voice of the Juicy Fruit campaign.

The revamped Wrigley’s campaign, starring Chris, Julianne, and Ne-Yo, will premiere in August.

Betcha you didn’t know that Chris Brown’s hot single “Forever” is actually the jingle for a Doublemint Gum ad campaign to premiere later this Summer.

Accordng to the Wall Street Journal, is an extended version of a new Doublemint jingle written by Chris and scheduled to be unveiled at a news conference in New York on Tuesday.

Chris updated the Wrigley’s Gum jingle, which debuted in 1960, and re-recorded it with hip-hop producer Polow Da Don. Chris’ print and commercial ad campaign for Doublemint will begin airing in 30-second spots this August.

And Chris isn’t the only top-tier music celebrity joining the Wrigley’s family next month. Platinum-selling singer Ne-Yo and country-singing Dancing With The Stars champ Julianne Hough have recorded new twists on Big Red’s “Kiss A Little Longer” track and Juicy Fruit’s signature sing-along, “The Taste Is Gonna Move Ya,” respectively.

Wrigley’s will host a concert itomorrow to unveil the new jingles. Radio station Hot 97 is expected to give away tickets for the show as part of the promotion.

Ne-Yo is speaking out on his experience working with Lindsay Lohan. The R&B/hip hop producer penned and produced Linds’ recently leaked track, “Bossy,” and expects the track to appear on the actress’ forthcoming album.

“It’s basically about a woman being strong enough to get what she wants when she wants it. In this case, ‘Bossy’ is a term that describes confidence and power.”

“I wrote it for her because when she’s on her game, you can see these traits in her. When she’s focused, she exudes the aura of a boss with ease,” Ne-Yo tells People Magazine.

“When [producer] Stargate and I were approached with the task, we viewed it as a challenge. ‘Can we make a song for Lindsay Lohan that people were gonna take seriously?’ I think we did it.”
