A 7-year-old Ohio girl who suffered the same brain injury that killed actress Natasha Richardson is alive this morning because her parents took her to the hospital after hearing about the Tony winner’s brain injury and subsequent death.

Even in death Natasha Richardson is giving the gift of life. After Richardson was taken off life support at Manhattan’s Lenox Hill Hospital last week, her family, which includes grieving husband Liam Neeson, the couple’s two sons, Micheal, 13, and Daniel, 12, her mother Vanessa Redgrave, and sister Joely Richardson, made the decision to donate the late actress’ organs. Lindsay Lohan and screen legend Jane Fonda are among the legion of Hollywood stars mourning the loss of actress Natasha Richardson. Richardson died on Wednesday after suffering severe head trauma in a skiing accident near Montreal on Monday. She was 45.
