Natalie, girl behavior like this really feeds into the whole “Psycho Vegan” stereotype. C’mon, you guys get enough of a bad rep on account of PETA.


On Monday, The Huffington Post hosted a blog by Portman, in which the star describes her journey to vegan activism. It was the usual carnivore-hating nonsense until things got a little offensive:

“I say that Foer’s ethical charge against animal eating is brave because not only is it unpopular, it has also been characterized as unmanly, inconsiderate, and juvenile. But he reminds us that being a man, and a human, takes more thought than just ‘This is tasty, and that’s why I do it.’ He posits that consideration, as promoted by Michael Pollan in The Omnivore’s Dilemma, which has more to do with being polite to your tablemates than sticking to your own ideals, would be absurd if applied to any other belief (e.g., I don’t believe in rape, but if it’s what it takes to please my dinner hosts, then so be it).”

Couple thoughtless paragraph with the fact that she signed a “Free Polanski” petition, and Miss. Portman has a burgeoning reputation as a rape apologist on her hands.

“I think it’s an exciting time. I mean everyone is cutting back,” Natalie says. “All of a sudden, people are not making as much money as they thought they would or they’ve lost their jobs entirely. I’ve started to see people looking more toward their own passions and what really excites them.”

Jake Gyllenhaal, who co-stars with Portman in Brothers this winter, got to ask the actress some burning questions for the September issue of Interview Magazine.

“What’s your favorite food?” Jake asked.

“I don’t think you can really improve upon Carvel ice cream cake. I am so Carvel,” she replied.

Natalie, now 27, also revealed that she’s exploring a new musical style lately.

“I’ve mostly been listening to dirty rap lately. Really, really obscene hip-hop. I love it so much. It makes me laugh and then it makes me want to dance. Those are like my two favorite things.”

The actresses — who have signed on to play ballerinas in the film — are set to send temperatures rising with an X-rated lesbian scene that ScriptShadow.com describes as “ecstasy-induced, hungry aggressive, angry sex.”

For her part, Kunis — who rose to stardom as spoiled disco-era princess Jackie on FOX’s That ’70s Show — has refused to confirm or deny the reports, telling Collider.com: “I can’t really deny or confirm (anything) because I’m not allowed to talk about the script, but all I’m going to say is that I can’t imagine anyone getting their hands on this project.”

“The script is so under lock and key that I can’t imagine anyone really truly ever getting a hold of it,” she added.

Natalie Portman has broken her long held rule of not responding to Internet gossip to blast rampant rumors that she is having an affair with the very married — albeit separated — Sean Penn.

“Sean Penn is a friend and colleague. The reports that we are romantically involved are completely untrue,” the star of The Other Boleyn Girl said in a statment to Extra Friday. “I normally do not respond to rumors about my private life, however, this repeatedly fabricated story has forced me to do so.”

The Oscar-winning star reportedly flew into a rage after learning that the much younger actress had personally asked her longtime partner to play her love interest in a new movie.

A spywitness tells The Daily Mail: “Angelina had a massive fit and was shouting her head off. She accused Brad of flirting with Natalie.”

Angelina is particularly ill at ease because she and Brad started their relationship after meeting on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005.

“Angelina worries about karma. It’s eating her up and we’re sure the cause of a lot of the rows is her not quite trusting Brad.”

“Angelina can’t help but feel threatened,” the source squeals. “Brad knows how jealous she gets but won’t stop saying how gorgeous and intelligent Natalie is. He keeps saying she is ‘cute as a button.’”

In March, Natalie, 26, found herself the subject of rumors that she is having an affair with married Milk star Sean Penn.

Natalie Portman has been receiving poetic text messages from Ryan Gosling. The smitten actor is believed to be sweet on the Heat star, who has been romantically linked to married Oscar-winner Sean Penn since splitting from rocker boyfriend Devendra Banhart last September.

A source told The Chicago Sun Times: “Natalie always has been attracted to actors and other men who are intellectuals and Ryan qualifies. Along with continual and very poetic text messages, Ryan has been sending Natalie first editions of books he thinks she would like.”

The alleged couple, who met when they both sat on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival last May, first sent tongues wagging when they were spied enjoying one another’s company over dinner at Sunset Tower Hotel’s Tower Bar on March 17.

Natalie and Sean were “constantly touching each other” as they dined, Star claims.

“They went to a bank of elevators that only goes to the spa or to private rooms,” an eyewitness tells Star. “They came back about 45 minutes later, and that’s when I saw them making out.”

The restaurant tipster continues, “There’s a door outside of the hotel’s Tower Bar that has a bridge to the terrace, so it’s semi-private…I used that path to get to the restroom, and when I came back, I had to go through some curtains — and that’s when I interrupted Sean and Natalie! When they saw me, they were startled and quickly composed themselves.”

Sean Penn has been married to actress Robin Wright-Penn (”Jenny,” Forrest Gump) for 12 years. The couple reconciled after a brief split last spring.
