
Looks like Oscar-winner, Natalie Portman and hubby, Benjamin Millepied, are leaving LA and heading for Paris.
Millepied has been named the director for the Paris Ballet beginning in September 2014. “I did grow up in France, and even though I didn’t go to the school or dance with the Paris Opera Ballet, I absorbed similar ideas in my training. I understand the scale of a big company. I danced for one for almost 20 years. I think it’s an asset that I have absorbed other traditions and had other experiences in the U.S., which I can bring to the dancers here,” said Millepied. “But of course I have a lot to learn about this company and its very remarkable and specific qualities.” Read the rest of this entry »

Oscar-winner, Natalie Portman, is off the market.
Portman has reportedly said I do to her fiance, Benjamin Millepied. The pair were reportedly married in an ultra-private ceremony, traditional Jewish ceremony in Big Sur, California yesterday. Yep — the future Rhode Scholar Natalie Portman gave birth to earlier this summer has a name. And just as we suspected, it’s a weird one. Not Pilot Inspecktor, Apple, Moses, Monroe, Morrocan weird, but unusual nevertheless. (Really, Mariah, Morrocan?) After much thought, the Israeli-born studious screen stunner has decided to call her Little Tyke: (Drumroll, puhleeze….) Alef. Pronounced “A-Leaf” and not to be confused with Alf, Portman’s son shares his name with the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
Call it Nat’s way of keeping in touch with her Jewish roots.
Baby name experts tell us that “the letter represents the ‘oneness of God’ and is related to the element of air….”

The bun has come out of the oven! Best Actress Oscar winner Natalie Portman and her choreographer fiance. Benjamin Millepied are beaming over the arrival of their bouncing baby boy. Deets on the birth are still sketchy, but we hear the critically-acclaimed actress delivered the boy, her first child, earlier this month. Portman, 30, met Millepied when he trained her in classical ballet for the 2010 film Black Swan, for which the former child star won her first Academy Award.
The couple announced their engagement and Natalie’s pregnancy in December.
