Fans will be able to catch the spectacular on TV…..in 2011. MTV has acquired the rights and the film will be available to the network for six years.

Get ready for tight shirts and lots of hair gel as a group of bawdy twentysomethings — decked out in urban designer labels they picked up on sale at Macy’s — co-habitate in a beach house in Southern Jersey for the summer.
In an interview with MTV’sIt’s On With Alexa Chung Monday, Rihanna opened up on why she sat down for a tell-all interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer, which aired last week. While Chris Brown would prefer to keep the details of his February assault on the Bajan princess private, Rihanna — who appeared in a red and black hoodie and stylish ankle boots — says she’s speaking out to help others victims of domestic violence.
“Are you glad that you can now move on now that you’ve done that?” Alexa asked.
“Yeah, and that’s one of the main reasons I did it,” Rihanna explained. “And also to give insight to people who have been through what I have.”

In Chris Brown: The Interview, premiering on MTV this Friday, Nov. 6, the singer says that he still struggles with the domestic dispute that almost put him in an orange jumpsuit and asks himself: “How do you, Chris, go from point A to point B? How do you learn from your mistakes, turn it into a positive and help other people with the situation … and at the end of the day become the person that you want to be?”

The once pioneering network known for broadcasting groundbreaking music videos has commissioned its first stab at the horror genre with the introduction of My Super Psycho Sweet 16. The title and concept plays off the network’s hit reality series My Super Sweet 16, which chronicles the lavish birthday parties of pampered rich kids.
In My Super Psycho Sweet 16 – which premieres this week — a teen’s birthday bash at a skating rink is interrupted by a serial killer. The movie already has been shot and is “pretty graphic,” according to MTV’s Senior Vice-President of Production Chris Linn.

On Friday, MTV released the first trailer for Gone Too Far, the new docu-drama starring the late DJ AM. AM — (real name Adam Goldstein) — who struggled with an addiction to crack and other substances for more than a decade passed away in August following an accidental drug overdose.
In the video, Adam is seen traveling across the country and meeting with young people battling addiction. Although Adam lost his own battle against drugs, the Goldsteins gave MTV the OK to use the footage. Read the rest of this entry »
