“The Dilemma” Gay Scene Deleted From Trailer Following Urging From Anderson Cooper, GLAAD

Public objections to the pejorative use of the word “gay” in the trailer for Ron Howard’s upcomg movie The Dilemma from Anderson Cooper and GLAAD (The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) has prompted Universal Studios to remove the offensive scene from the trailer.

The original preview featured star Vince Vaughn speaking the line: “Ladies and gentlemen, electric cars … are gay. I mean not homosexual gay, but you know, my-parents-are-chaperoning-the-dance gay.”

Michelle Williams As Marilyn Monroe In “My Week With Marilyn”

Michelle Williams (Not the one from Destiny’s Child) will play screen legend Marilyn Monroe in a new movie based on the iconic actress’s 1956 London film shoot opposite Sir Laurence Olivier, producers said on Friday.

My Week with Marilyn — produced by The Weinstein Company and expected to open in 2011 — chronicles a week in the life of the troubled starlet, who spent seven days taking in 1950s Britain with tour guide Colin Clark, an assistant on the set of The Prince and the Showgirl over a half century ago.
