This Just In: The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Irish baddie Colin Farrell is the top choice to follow in Governor Arnold’s footsteps at the lead in Paramount Pictures’ remake of the 1990 action-smash Total Recall.
Mel Gibson will no longer be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming sequel to the 2009 comedy The Hangover after news of the troubled actor’s casting infuriated the film’s stars, The Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.
Diva Duet! Elton John & Lady Gaga — who famously shared the stage at the 2010 Grammy Awards in February — will blend their vocals on a collaborative track titled “Hello, Hello,” the theme from Touchstone Pictures’ upcoming animated flick Gnomeo & Juliet!
The new song will accompany a scene in the movie where the two lead characters, lawn ornaments Gnomeo and Juliet, voiced by actors James McAvoy and Emily Blunt, first meet.
The comedy, which hits theaters Feb. 11, 2011, is being produced by Elton’s longtime partner, David Furnish, and will feature the voiceover talents of Michael Caine, Patrick Stewart, Hulk Hogan, Ozzy Osbourne, and Dolly Parton.
Glee creator Ryan Murphy is the first choice to step behind the camera for a remake of the 1975 cult musical Rocky Horror Picture Show, Deadline.com dished on Monday. While Murphy has apparently remained noncommittal about the rumored offer, Glee recently completed production on a tribute episode devoted to the funky retelling of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein — which starred Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, and Meatloaf.
