Loose-lipped Rush Hour director Brett Ratner is out as a producer of the 84th annual Academy Awards, scheduled for February. Ratner stepped down from the prestigious post on Tuesday, just days after he used a homophobic slur during a Q&A session at the Los Angeles ArcLight Cinema on Saturday.
When quizzed about his rehearsal process, Ratner replied:
“Rehearsal is for fa*s.”
Wow…now there’s the marking of a man who really knows how to sweet talk a girl.

Roger Ebert’s latest adventure in television is in danger of vanishing from the airwaves. The famed Chicago film critic who helped coin the catchphrase “Two Thumbs Up” says he can’t afford to keep Ebert Presents: At the Movies on the air and has revealed plans to halt production in the coming weeks unless he can find funding to keep the program afloat.
