Robert De Niro will play disgraced investor Bernie Madoff in Truth and Consequences: Life Inside the Madoff Family, a TV movie based on the bestseller penned by Laurie Sandell and written with the cooperation of Madoff’s son Andrew.
Loose-lipped Rush Hour director Brett Ratner is out as a producer of the 84th annual Academy Awards, scheduled for February. Ratner stepped down from the prestigious post on Tuesday, just days after he used a homophobic slur during a Q&A session at the Los Angeles ArcLight Cinema on Saturday.
When quizzed about his rehearsal process, Ratner replied:
“Rehearsal is for fa*s.”
