Police in Los Angeles were sent to the Hollywood Hills home of actress Mischa Barton on Wednesday to assist the former OC star with a medical issue.

LAPD Spokesperson, Office Karen Rayner tells Entertainment Tonight that patrol officers were sent to Mischa’s home at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday to assist her with a medical issue, which the department is currently assisting her with.

Don’t expect to find Mischa Barton sending out Tweets anytime soon. The star recently lambasted celebrities who use the popular social networking site Twitter.

“People are obsessed with it but I think it’s a waste of time. I mean what do they think they are achieving?” the 23-year-old former star of The OC said during the Harrods opening sale in London Saturday.
