Mischa Barton’s emotional breakdown and subsequent confinement in the psych ward of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has turned into the publicity goldmine the actress’ publicist was hoping it would, says one high-powered tabloid editor.

The insider tells The NY Post’s PageSix that Mischa’s rep, Craig Schneider, has been lobbying for his recently hospitalized client to land the cover of one of the celebrity weeklies, but the public interest in the former O.C. star’s mental health just isn’t there.
