The online sale of the crypt above silver screen legend Marilyn Monroe’s final resting place has fallen through after the winning bidder failed to come up with $4.6 million in cash.
Earlier this month, Elsie Poncher put the crypt where her husband Richard has been buried since 1986 up for auction on eBay.com for $500,000 in a bid to save her home from foreclosure. The price quickly soared into the millions as desperate fans of the sex symbol tried to purchase the plot. The buyer, an unidentified bidder from Japan, has pulled out of the deal, leaving Poncher to seek the next highest bid of the 28 other people who participated in the auction. Miley Cyrus has moved on from her early summer split from former flame Justin Gaston. Eyewitnesses reportedly spotted the 16-year-old star sharing a liplock with her Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth at Nashville International Airport on Wednesday.
Hemsworth, 18, plays Cyrus’ love interest in the upcoming film, currently in production in Savannah, Georgia.

At the Hellmans/Facebook Feeding America Charity Event on Thursday aftenoon, country star Billy Ray Cyrus responded to the controversy surrounding daughter Miley’s controversial pole-dancing routine at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this month.

Miley Cyrus has issued a public apology to Robert Pattinson after razing the Twilight heartthrob and his devoted fanbase in an interview with Teen Vogue earlier this year.
“I’m not a huge Rob Pattinson fan. Girls aren’t really in love with Rob; they’re in love with [his Twilight character] Edward,” the Disney Pole Dancer retorted to boos and hisses in the interview last May.
Oddly enough, Miley has changed her tune after coming face to face with the hottest thing to come out of Britain since The Beatles during Sunday night’s 2009 Teen Choice Awards.
