Legendary celebrity snapper Annie Leibovitz has issued a statement defending her near nude photo of Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus in the June issue of Vanity Fair Magazine.
“I’m sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted,” Annie Leibovitz said in a statement on Monday. “Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together, and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it. The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful.”

Not only does this fifteen year old “role model” enjoy taking off her tank top for photos, she also enjoys following the sexual exploits Carrie, Big, and the rest of the gang on Sex And The City. When VF quizzed the teen on her favorite television, Miley responded:
A media frenzy has erupted over the forthcoming Miley Cyrus Picture in Vanity Fair that portrays her nude. So the big question is this: should 15 year old girls even be portraying themselves nude in magazines.
Before you react, and call this an innocuous event because she’s “not really nude” - think about how the US Government reacted to steroid use in the Major Leagues. They cracked down on it. Why? Because baseball players are role models for the country’s youth and the government has a responsibility to protect its citizens.
