Michelle Pfeiffer thinks the U.S. government should consider legalizing prostitution.

The 54-year-old actress, who plays a “Lady of the Night” in Stephen Frears’ new period piece, Cheri, is wondering why the ”world’s oldest profession” has been banned throughout most of the United States.

“There is an argument to be made for providing some protection for prostitutes. It would solve a lot of problems for them. They’re going to do it anyway,” Michelle remarked in one recent interview.

Ashton Kutcher and Michelle Pfeiffer have agreed to star in the Rick Moody adaptation Personal Effects, a film based upon Moody’s Mansion novel On The Hill and tells the tale of a young man trying to deal with the death of his sister. Read the rest of this entry »
