The CW sent out a press release this morning with the headline, “The bitch is back!”

That’s right — Heather Locklear, who starred on the original Melrose Place for seven seasons, will reprise her role as scheming ad exec Amanda Woodward on The CW’s recent critically-panned revival of the ’90s primetime soap. Heather joined the popular series at the end of its first season and stayed on throughout its successful run. Rick Fox has joined the cast of Melrose Place. The former L.A. Lakers star-turned-actor will visit one of television’s most famous destinations when he takes on a recurring role on the new CW series — a modern day spin on the popular 1990s primetime soap.

According to a PEOPLE, Heather Locklear is in talks to reprise her role as ruthless ad exec Amanda Woodard on the network’s new revival of Aaron Spelling’s ’90s primetime soap.
In April, the actress turned down an invitation to join the new cast after failing to reach a satisfactory salary agreement with Melrose producers.
Heather’s return would make her the fifth original castmember to appear on the new Melrose. Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, Josie Bissett and Daphne Zuniga will all guest star on the show, premiering next month.
Jenna Dewan has signed on for a multi-episode guest arc on The CW’s freshman soap Melrose Place.

The Step Up actress, who married hunny Channing Tatum in Malibu last month, has joined the cast of the recently revamped FOX drama, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
We hear Jenna, 28, will play a sexy Hollywood studio executive, who is the love interest of series regular Jonah Miller — played by Michael Rady.
Melrose Place premieres Sept. 8 at 9PM on The CW.
