Mel Gibson and girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have welcomed a baby girl.
The actor welcomed Baby Lucia with the Russian musician at a Los Angeles hospital last Friday, a rep for the actor confirmed on Monday.
“This will confirm that Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles,” his rep said in a statement. “No further details are available at this time.”
Gibson has seven children (six sons, one daughter) from his marriage to estranged wife Robyn. Gibson announced Grigorieva’s pregnancy on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno: “This is true, we’re going to have a child,” Gibson tells the talk-show-host. “I guess I’m Octo-Mel now.”

Under California’s penal code 1203.4, a defendant who has fulfilled the conditions of their probation may petition the court “dismiss the accusations or information against the defendant.”
Gibson originally pleaded no contest to a driving under the influence charge as part of a plea deal. He was sentenced to three years of probation, fined more than $1,300 and was ordered to attend more than 11 months of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. He also had to enroll in an alcohol abuse program for three months.

In June 2006, the Braveheart actor was arrested after getting behind the wheel while intoxicated, and was sentenced to three years’ probation the following month on a misdemeanour driving under the influence (DUI) charge.

Now the soon-to-be father of eight has filed legal papers, obtained by TMZ.com, that indicate his lawyer will be in court in next month to have the DUI removed rom his record because he has completed the terms of his probation.
