British singers Mel B and Charlotte Church are in the running to join Simon Cowell and pop star Dannii Minogue on the upcoming fifth season of The X-Factor. Charlotte and Mel are presently in talks to replace rock n’ roll wifey Sharon Osbourne on the top-rated UK talent competition.
“Sharon has wanted more money every series since The X Factor started. This time, she was demanding $5 million. It was too much and we called her bluff…..Mel’s in pole position to join the judging panel. She’s ideal and Simon Cowell is eager for her to join the team,” one insider tells the British Daily Mail. “The producers know having Charlotte [Church] on board would be a huge boost.”

Former Nsyncer Joey Fatone and Ultimo lingerie’s newest spokesmodel, former Spice Girl Mel B. will co-host “The Singing Office,” a comic singing competition that pits different groups of employees against each other, later this year. Former Spice Girl Melanie B, perhaps best known as Scary Spice or Mel B, will be named the new face of UK lingerie manufacturer Ultimo later this week.
“She has a fantastic figure. She also appeals to men and women on both sides of the Atlantic so it is a clever move by Ultimo…Dancing every night was great for her fitness.”
The reunion tour may be history, but Spice Girls rivalry lives on as Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown has decided to take on Victoria Beckham and launch her own fashion line.
“It’s early stages, but she wants to set up her own company,” a spy close to Eddie Murphy’s former side dish tells the British press. “It’s better than fronting something for another label.”
Mel B plans to release own dance workout DVD after wrapping up the Spice Girls Reunion Tour. The thirty-two year old mom of two became a dance favorite when she came second on Season Five of Dancing With The Stars.
