Safe to say there’s no love lost between Bristol Palin and Meghan McCain?

Bristol Palin couldn’t be bothered to vote in Tuesday’s mid-term election because she’s so busy trying to stay afloat as a contestant on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars — and outspoken politico Meghan McCain is vocally blasting the young mother’s carelessness.
Cyberspace is still atwitter over this pic of Meghan McCain’s cleavage.

The daughter of former GOP presidential candidate John McCain set off a media firestorm late Wednesday after she Twitpic’d an image of herself busting out of a tank top. After getting wind of the backlash, Meghan wrote on her Twitter, “I took a fun picture not thinking anything about what I was wearing, but apparently anything other than a pantsuit I am a slut.” She later added, “When I am alone in my apartment, I wear tank tops and sweat pants, I had no idea this makes me a ‘slut’, I can’t even tell you how hurt I am.”
She has since taken down the photo, but has you can see it on Meghan’s column at The Daily Beast, where the outspoken 24-year-old sounds off on the incident — and the controversy that followed — in an essay that followed in a post titled: “Don’t Call Me a Slut.”
I thought was funny and silly—and within a few hours I had caused a minor media scandal. I spent most of the next day thinking about what exactly was so shocking about the picture, why there was such an immediate and nasty overreaction. After all, it’s not like I was caught making a sex tape. I certainly didn’t pose nude for Playboy. And I hadn’t even exposed a nipple.
So why all this Sturm und Drang?
Could it be it’s because I have breasts? Because for those of you who didn’t know, I have two. They’re larger than some women’s and not as big as others. I don’t usually show off my cleavage—as I did in the photos I posted—which I will admit is not the smartest thing I have ever done. But it’s just not worth the drama it caused.
Is Meghan’s photo too risqué?
Much ado about Double DDs: Meghan McCain, a Daily Beast columnist and daughter of Sen. John McCain, apologized late Wednesday after posting a poppin’ TwitPic of herself that’s stirring up criticism.
The photo in question shows 24-year-old Meg in a tank top, holding a copy of Andy Warhol’s biography. he accompanying tweet referred to her “’spontaneous’ night in.” Read the rest of this entry »
Conservative blogger Meghan McCain, the daughter of former Republican presidential nominee John McCain, says she offended by a joke told by Wanda Sykes during the comedian’s controversial set at the White House Correspondents Dinner at the Washington Hilton on Saturday.
“Sen. McCain gave you grief about the new helicopters you didn’t order. I think Mr. McCain was a little bitter because he wanted to be in the new helicopters. Mr. McCain, I’m sure if you ask nicely, your wife will buy you a new helicopter,” Sykes quipped alluding to the family wealth of heiress Cindy McCain.
“I didn’t like the joke about my mom,” Meghan McCain told NY Daily News Gatecrasher column after the dinner. “Why talk about her at all? I (didn’t mind the jokes) about my dad, but leave my mom out of it. It really wasn’t in good taste.”
