Great news, soap fans: Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are heading back to the show where they fell in love. The couple are scheduled to return to Pine Valley for the 40th anniversary episode of All My Children early next year, ABC announced Friday. This will be the first time either has appeared on AMC since their departure in 2002.

Kelly says Live With Regis & Kelly will air behind-the-scenes footage next month of the couple’s return to Pine Valley.

The All My Children 40th Anniversary Special will air on Jan. 4 and 5.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have issued a cease-and-desist letter to the National Enquirer demanding “a full public retraction” of the tabloid’s front-page story, which claims that the lovable power couple have “split.”

Attorneys for Mark and Kelly claim the Enquirer printed the story despite “having been told beforehand it was a lie.”

According to the couple’s rep, Stan Rosenfield, “There is not a shred of truth” to the divorce report, as the Live hostess and her soap-starring hubby remain happily married and living with their family in New York City.

Kelly, 38, and Mark, 37, married in 1996 after meeting on the set of the daytime drama All My Children. They have three children: Michael, 11; Lola, 7; and Joaquin, 5.
