We hear Mario Lopez has the hots for the Original Reality Octomom, Kate Gosselin! According to a scoop featured in the Nov. 23 issue of GLOBE, the notorious womanizer was spotted flashing his double dimples at the soon-to-be divorcee as the pair laughed and chatted at the 2009 California Women’s Conference in Long Beach last month.

Kate, who joined Alicia Keys, Geena Davis, and Valerie Bertinelli, as a featured speaker at this year’s event, was shocked when Saved By The Bell’s A.C. Slater approached the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star for a bit of “friendly” conversation. And boy was Mario laying it on thick. One spywitness overhead the hunk telling Kate that “she was much prettier in person” before adding that “he was so excited to meet her.”

GLOBE writes: “The hunky Extra host was also seen slipping Kate, 34, his number, telling her to give him a call.”

Mario was briefly married to actress Ali Landry and later dated his former Dancing With The Stars partner, the sexy Karina Smirnoff. Both romances ended after Mario cheated.

The 2010 pageant will air live from the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Jan. 30.

Fifty-three contestants, including Miss District of Columbia, Miss Virgin Islands and Miss Puerto Rico, will compete 2010 pageant in interview, swimsuit, evening gown and talent categories.

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant, 36, also helmed the annual pageant in 2007 and 2009.

Extra host Mario Lopez is writing a childrens’ book. The notorious womanizer, who successfully authored Mario Lopez’s Knockout Fitness earlier this year, has teamed up with his sister, Marissa, to pen Mud Taco, an illustration work of fiction based on Mario’s own experiences as a growing up in California.

“Mario wants to share his amazing experiences as a kid,” an insider tells In Touch Weekly. “It’s called Mud Taco, and it’s based on Mario’s experiences growing up.”

The insider adds: “For fun, he and Marissa would make tacos out of mud in the backyard, substituing worms for cheese, grass for lettuce, and mud for meat..Now they’re writing a book about it to teach children to be strong and creative.”

Mud Taco will be published by Penguin Books next year.

Rumor has it that Dancing With The Stars beauty Karina Smirnoff has reunited with her notorious cheating ex, television personality Mario Lopez.

The pair, who tangoed their way to love as partners on DWTS two years ago, ended their whirlwind romance earlier this Summer. Nevertheless, spywitnesses saw Mario and Karina canoodling over dinner at NYC’s Meatpacking District hotspot Bagatelle.

Mario Lopez has got just the thing for early holiday shoppers on the hunt for stocking stuffers this season.

The Extra host is in discussions to release a workout DVD based on the moves he mastered as a contestant on Dancing With The Stars.

“He wants to start working on the video before the end of the summer and release it in time for the holidays,” Star Magazine reports.

Mario Lopez has signed on to host a new MTV reality series called Top Pop Group this Fall.

Top Pop Group will feature nine unsigned music groups competing for a $100,000 grand prize.

Celebrity coaches will mentor the groups; helping them perfect their sound and dance moves, while a panel of celebrity judges give the groups feedback ala American Idol. Home viewers will vote for their favorites and name the official “Top Pop Group” each week.

CNN Showbiz Tonight commentator Marianela Pereyra will co-host.

Top Pop Group premieres September 11 at 10 p.m. on MTV. Tune in for a seriess casting special on August 28 at 9 p.m.

Mario Lopez has a new job. The former Saved By The Bell hunk has been named the new host of celebrity newsmagazine Extra.

Mario has served as a co-host of the weekend edition of Extra since January 2007. He will take over full hosting duties on September 15.

Mario Lopez has turned down a $200,000 offer to pose nude in an upcoming issue of Playgirl Magazine.

MSNBC reports that Mario Lopez’ run in A Chorus Line is being cut short as a result of Katie Holmes’ eagerly-anticipated Broadway debut in a revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons. Celebrity spies say Katie’s short engagement with the show has forced All My Sons producers to feature the play in a large musical theater instead of one of Broadway’s smaller playhouses typically reserved for such a production, unfortunately for Mario, the only musical theater available for All My Sons is the Schoenfield Theater, the location where A Chorus Line has been showing.

“Musical theaters have more seats than a traditional playhouse, so they can sell more tickets each week,” a source told MSNBC. “That’s how the show ended up at the Schoenfeld Theater (where “Chorus Line” runs). Because of the “All My Sons” rehearsal schedule, they had to cut Mario Lopez’s run in “A Chorus Line”….”He’s pissed. Let’s face it, he doesn’t have much going on right now.”
