On Wednesday, Jessica Simpson hit the promo track ahead of the release of her forthcoming holiday album, Happy Christmas, set to hit stores and iTunes on Nov. 22.

Eh — it’s no “Where Are You Christmas?” Interestingly enough though, the single is drawing comparisons to another Christmas classic.

And that’s not necessarily a good thing.

For Music Aficionados old enough to remember when Mariah Carey’s 1994 album Merry Christmas became the best-selling holiday album in modern history, Jessica’s foray on the seasonal circuit sounds suspiciously like Madame Carey’s charttopper “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
