Language of love? Hardly! The Material Girl is not pleased that Brazilian boytoy Jesus Luz, 22, hasn’t quite mastered English in the 10 months they’ve been dating.
Madge spies tell GLOBE that Madonna, 51, is shelling out $1,000 per week on a private tutor to work with Jesus.
“Madonna used to find Jesus’s broken English charming, but not anymore,” a snitch says. “She wants prove to her friends that he’s intelligent and sophisticated, so she’s hired a language teacher and forbidden him from speaking Portuguese anymore.”
We never would have taken Madonna for the high school geek type, but the pop legend readily admits she was far from head cheerleader during those awkward teen years.
“I was a geek in high school. I didn’t really have a drink until I got divorced for the first time [from Sean Penn] when I was 30,” the Queen of Pop reveals in a cover story for the new issue of Rolling Stone. “‘Geek’ is not a word anyone uses to describe me, except perhaps [‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’ producer] Stuart Price, who once said, ‘You know, you’re a nerd at heart, nobody knows it.’ I took it as a compliment.”Read the rest of this entry »
The Queen of Pop has donated one of her favorite pairs of Christian Dior pumps to a charity supporting gypsy child education.
In August, Madonna drew international attention by halting a concert in Bucharest and proclaiming that widespread discrimination against eastern Europe’s gypsies, also known as Roma, should end. Thousands of fans responded by booing the music legend.
The skyscraper gold heels, which are autographed by Madonna, will be sold at the Ovidiu Rom annual ball later this month, organizers said Tuesday.
“Madonna’s very mild comment regarding equality shone a spotlight on a common European attitude toward Gypsies,” says Leslie Hawke, president of Ovidiu Rom and mother of actor Ethan Hawke. “We’re thrilled to have her donation because she is such an icon of innovation and vigour and ‘can do’ spirit.”
The Queen of Pop has parted ways with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson.

Madonna is buying her barely legal boyfriend Jesus Luz a multimillion apartment near her home in New York City.
The Material Girl is reportedly splashing out an impressive sum for a NYC loft for 23-year-old Brazilan model Jesus Luz.
“Madonna is buying Jesus an apartment in New York. She has her real estate agent searching for the perfect pad for him in the new neighbourhood where she has just moved,” a tipster tattled to Britain’s The Sun newspaper on Thursday.
“….She is financing everything but Jesus will own it once it’s found and bought She really wasn’t kidding when she told him he’ll never have to worry about money from now on,” the snitch spilled.
Apparently, keeping it politically correct isn’t Guy Ritchie’s strong suit.
The director praised ex-wife Madonna in an interview with the November issue of Esquire Magazine. Guy says he still loves the pop icon — even if she is a little wacky. “She’s a manifester, if there ever was one. First-rate manifester. Madonna makes things happen. Put Madonna up against any 23-year-old, she’ll outwork them, outdance them.”
“And, of course, here you go: I still love her,” Guy finally added after a little nudging from the interviewer. Aww shucks, how sweet. But Guy isn’t all lovey-dovey now that his romance with Madge is dead and gone. “But she’s retarded, too.”
Head on over to Esquire.com for more of Guy’s interview.
Madonna has been awarded “substantial” damages from a British newspaper who published pictures of the star’s 2000 wedding to Guy Ritchie that had been stolen from her home.
The Associated Newspapers, publisher of the Mail on Sunday, were reprimanded earlier this year after the publication ran the images without the singer’s consent.
The amount wasn’t disclosed, but her lawyer, John Kelly, told Justice Peter Smith that Madge plans to onate the money to her Raising Malawi charity.
Madonna and Lady Gaga faced off in a staged catfight on live TV.
The pair of pop divas performed a synchronised dance-off, dressed in matching black lingerie and knee-high boots, as part of a skit on Saturday Night Live this week — hosted by Ryan Reynolds — which was called to a halt when Madonna started pulling Gaga’s wig and throttling her, yelling, “What the hell is a disco stick?” – referring to the younger star’s hit single “Love Game.”
The feuding pair had to be separated by the host of the fictitious MTV show Deep House Dish!
The Queen Is Here! Pop icon Madonna joins Dave in a chat about A-Rod, the possibility of marriage with boytoy Jesus, and her new greatest hits album over a slice of NY’s best pizza in this video clip from the Sept. 30 episode of the Late Show.
Last November, the Material Girl divorced director Guy Ritchie after eight years of marriage, and she’s vowed never to get hitched again!
“I think I’d rather get run over by a train,” she told Letterman. After placing an order on the phone, the two of them walked over to Angelo’s Pizza, located right next door to Manhattan’s famed Ed Sullivan Theater, where the two shared a few slices of the black olive and parmesan.
