Fans are giving Madonna all their luvin! Pre-orders for the Material Girl’s forthcoming 12th studio album, M.D.N.A., have made it to No. 1 in 50 countries. The disc has set the record for the largest one-day pre-order in iTunes history.
Did the Material Girl live up to the hype of the Superbowl halftime performance? Madonna entered Lucas Oil Stadium last night like Cleopatra, striking a pose with Vogue, kicking off her set-list. The 53-year old, ran around the stage like a bat out of hell during the entire extended-halftime. Madge did slip once, towards the back of the stage but kept from wiping out completely.
Madonna was joined on stage briefly by LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, who managed to flip off the cameras and Cee Lo Green, for a stirring rendition of Like a Prayer.
What was your favorite moment of the half-time show? The World Peace at the end was gorgeous!
Hell hath no fury like a catty queen! That’s been a very public lesson for pop icon Madonna.
The Material Mom is on the receiving end of some very harsh criticism from the husband of another music trendsetter.
Film director David Furnish, who is married to “Still Standing” superstar Elton John, has a bone to pick with Madge, her Best Original Song victory at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards and her recent candid remarks about pop successor (or pop copycat, depending on whose telling the story), Lady Gaga.
