Rumor: Charlie’s Angels is returning to TV nearly 30 years after it left the air — thanks to big screen angel Drew Barrymore — and according to a scoop featured in the March 29 issue of GLOBE, Lucy Liu and Rihanna may be putting on their halos for the new show.
The island-born “Umbrella” star and Liu — who co-starred as Alex Munday alongside Barrymore and Cameron Diaz in two successful film adaptations of Aaron Spelling’s ’70s crime drama — are in the running for Angel roles on a new hour-long TV version of Charlie’s Angels, the tabloid report claims.
