The network has pulled the plug on The Lohan Clan’s summer reality series after only one season. Dina Lohan used the show as a vehicle to break her 15-year-old daughter Ali into showbusiness and change the poor public image of her controversial family, but the matriarch stage mom claims E! had other plans.

“I only did the show to defuse the rumors,” she told Life & Style at the Nylon and Nike sportswear event on Tuesday. “And then they wanted us to do these crazy things, like my son cheating on his girlfriend, me faking a pregnancy. I was like, ‘No, no, no! They had ideas that weren’t conducive to our ideas.”

Nonetheless, Dina promises fans haven’t seen the last of the Lohans.

“We’re working with another network on another idea,” Dina revealed. “Yeah, not reality per se, but a realistic show.”

Dina Lohan doesn’t seem to be having very much luck catapulting youngest daughter Ali Lohan, 14, to superstar status, but maybe big sister Lindsay can do the trick.

Lindsay is petitioning Dina to allow her baby sister to move in with her and rumored girlfriend Samantha Ronson, now that the 22-year-old Labor Pains star finally has her life in order.

“Lindsay really wants to bond and see more of Ali because she thinks that now, finally, she can be a positive influence,” an insider revealed to celebrity columnist Mike Walker on Wednesday.

Lindsay is also convinced that she can be a driving force in creating a successful career for her sister.

Lindsay has been telling pals she believes she can show Ali what “Hollywood is really all about!”

Who needs celebrity boxing when you’ve got Dina and Michael Lohan sitting in the same room?! Producers at E! have offered chatty Lohan family patriarch Michael Lohan a starring role on the upcoming second season of the network’s popular unscripted series, Living Lohan, which already stars Michael’s youngest daughter, Ali, and ex-wife, Dina.

Network execs have suggested having the show’s cameras film Michael and Dina’s weekly counseling sessions.

“Dysfunctional-family stuff makes for great TV,” an E! insider tells Life & Style.

“The producers for Living Lohan have been talking to Michael about being on the show,” says a second E! snitch. “They want to capture all the drama that goes on between Dina and her ex-husband.”

“I don’t know that this would be good for my kids,” Michael says of the offer.

“I just had to share something that came up today and it made me feel a bit sick to my stomach,” Lindsay wrote on her Myspace Blog on Wednesday. “So, here’s the visual…two paparazzi come up out of nowhere (like usual) and start throwing questions at me…one of them being, ‘Hey Lindsay, what do you have to say about people commenting on your sisters implants?’ WOW!!!”

“Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14 year old girl, and you are a peodophile!”

Lilo then went into a long speech about how the voluptous Lohan Clan frowns on plastic surgery, thus making it unlikely that mom Dina would allow young Ali to buy new knockers.

“All I am trying to say is, is that, I was raised with a wonderful family surrounding me, of course we have our ups and downs, but all in all my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14-year-old child to alter her body.”

“I am not judging people that do, but I am just saying that it’s not something that my family finds necessary to do, especially when you’re not even fully developed yet!”

Respected CNN anchor Anderson Cooper is feeling the wrath of Lohan after making several sharp remarks about the Long Island clan while sitting in for Regis Philbin on Live With Regis & Kelly on Tuesday.

“Living Lohan is just atrocious,” said Anderson, who branded the showbusiness family “horrific.”

“I cannot believe I’m wasting a minute of my life watching these horrific people,” Anderson retorted.

Even young Ali Lohan wasn’t safe from one of Andy’s quips:

“[Ali] is a 14-year-old girl, looks to be about 60. She allegedly wants to be a singer and or actor-slash-performer of some sort, striptease person, I don’t know.”

Ouch..in all fairness though, Ali does look like a 40-year-old soccer mom…we’re just saying.

Family matriarch Dina Lohan has hit back, saying, “People are just cruel! This is bad karma for him.”

A studio staffer politely asked her to change tables, but “Dina “went apeshit…It so wasn’t cool.” So not cool that “Dina was quietly removed” from the rooftop soiree…

“Dina was so awful,” the insider says.

Dina denies she the Lohan party was kicked out of the event, explaining to Marc in an email on Wednesday that she decided to take Ali and another young guest home early after a studio staffer began raising his voice.

“He made the girls uncomfortable,” Dina says. “At that point, the girls wanted to leave.”

But my party source insists, the studio folks “couldn’t have been nicer.”

“You know my sister’s so hugely successful,” Ali explained, “I feel I have to follow in her footsteps and I feel I have to do as good as her. I feel a little nervous when I have to impress everyone.”

Michael Lohan’s secret daughter is breaking her silence. Thirteen year-old Ashley Kaufmann will appear in her first television interview with Entertainment Tonight on Monday. Reports that the youngster may be the half-sister of Ali & Lindsay Lohan surfaced last month.
