Lily Allen has reportedly been hired to pen the score for Bridget Jones’s Diary: The Musical when the hit comedy hits the live stage in 2011. The sassy hitmaker is said to be working behind-the-scenes as a songwriter for the upcoming stage show — based on the book and subsequent 2001 film, which starred Renee Zellweger.

Lily Allen, consider yourself replaced. The British songbird — an outspoken advocate against almost everything has been dropped as the face of Chanel Handbags and replaced by French singer Vanessa Paradis, perhaps best known as Johnny Depp’s “baby mama.”

The “Not Fair” singer fronted an advertising campaign for the French fashion house’s Coco Cocoon bag last year, but her contract has since expired and won’t be renewed after Lils got on the bad side of former pal and Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

Lily Allen has returned to the Twitter World, nearly five months after the British songbird abandoned the micro-blogging site and branded the Internet “destructive.” Allen fell out with many fans with her anti-pirating campaign to stop the illegal download of copyrighted music and made her last post on the site back in September.

Mysteriously, the singer — who collapsed during a show in Perth last weekend — posted her first Tweet of 2010 early Tuesday, remarking: “hello, I’m back….”
