Jazzy powerhouse Joss Stone has launched a scathing attack on fellow British singer Lily Allen, by criticizing the “Smile” star’s singing prowness and her unpopular campaign against illegal file-sharing.

Lily Allen is setting up her own record label after months of complaining about piracy and other issues plaguing the music industry.
“I’m setting up a record label at the moment, getting involved in lots of different things… I think things need to change in the music industry and we need to rethink a lot of stuff.”
Earlier this month, Lily announced she would take a break from recording after releasing two hit albums and a collection of Top 10 singles in the UK.

The usually loud-mouthed Lily Allen has decided to step back from the ongoing debate over illegal downloads of music following an angry response from her fans.
Rarely one to mince words, the “Smile” singer has decided to close down her online blog, which aimed to curb illicit file-sharing, as followers began hurling profane slurs at her.
Lily will also not attend an upcoming summit meeting on the issue, The Daily Express reports.

British pop star Lily Allen has announced her retirement from the recording industry. The 23-year-old “Smile” singer released her sophomore set The Fear earlier this year and says she has no intention of ever recording another album.
(Insert eye-roll here…We’ve got five bucks that says she’ll turn into another Jay-Z and go on to record 30 additional albums.)
Lily is leading a campaign to crack down on online file-sharing in the U.K., encouraging music lovers to support the struggling industry by purchasing their favorite tracks legally. Controversial supermodel Kate Moss and her singer friend Lily Allen were spotted smoking what looked suspiciously like a marijuana joint while on vacay in St. Tropez this week, The Daily Mail reports.
The stars were snapped sunbathing on a yacht in the South of France as they shared a rolled-up joint. Allen passed the joint to Moss, who was laying down on the deck.

In the no-holds-barred songstress’ first campaign for the acclaimed French fashion house, Lily designer strikes a pose in a series of black & white snaps promoting Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2009/10 collection. Posted up alongside Lily are several designs from the new Coco Cocoon Collection.
The bags, which are reversable and can be turned inside, will premiere this October.
Lily Allen will unveil her new jewelry collection during a press conference at an upscale London hotel next week. The 24-year-old singer, who previously designed a clothing line for UK retailer New Look, will debut a collection of costume bling at Claridge’s Hotel in London on Monday.
The line will include nine different designs created for fans aged 14 to 40.
Be on the lookout for The Lily Allen Jewelry Collection, on sale this September.
“I love jewelry. Always have done,” says the “Smile” singer. “I’m really pleased with all the designs. We worked hard on getting them exactly how we wanted them, from choosing the right chain length and thickness, to deciding what should be in gold and what looks better in silver.”
Lily Allen was forced to pull out of her performance at a Spanish music festival over the weekendafter she fell too ill to fly to the event.
